Seongeun Kim is a media artist based in LA, New York, and Seoul, who creates interactive media artworks in virtual and real worlds. Her ultimate goal is to combine her passion for art and technology and become a navigator who can help people to explore the boundaries of human consciousness and unconsciousness and create impactful experiences through her artworks. She received a BA in Graphic and Media Design from the University of the Arts London and an MFA in Art and Technology from California Institute of the Arts.

Bridge is an artwork about depersonalization. The body exists in a physical space, but the mind is separated from that environment. The first step to reconnect the broken relationship would be to recognize the scattered pieces and face emotions. There are only mirror fragments and a chair in this space. Mirrors represent scattered identities. The objects floating on an endless sea represent a state of mind floating in the boundary between consciousness and unconsciousness or between reality and unreality. Without directly intervening in this space, audiences can project themselves into the empty chair or they can just look at the space at a distance outside of the space.
